After serving a single material stick that can be refilled first for solid cosmetics at Luxe Pack Monaco last year, French companies, which are specialized in beauty packaging solutions and applicators, presented at Paris Packaging Week, a series of new products that aim to improve consumer experience when using cosmetics congested.Considering there are lacks of packaging solutions to meet the specificity of solid cosmetics, Cosmogen continues to develop a patented mono-mono stick technology presented in September 2021 at the Monaco Trade Show Luxe Pack.
The re-use stick can be refilled (56% of the plastic stored with each refill), mono-material (PP) and waterproof to facilitate the preservation of products containing water or solvents. To protect the brand image, refill cannot be used without lodging in the outer casing. In addition, the reuse stick can be fully adjusted.
Tested formulas and integrated applicators
In partnerships with Anjac Health & Beauty, Cosmogen has validated stick compatibility with various formulas (Foundation, Suncare, Moisturizer). Complete service solutions (package + formula) are available. In addition, Cosmogen has developed an applicator that can be removed and washed that can be placed at the top of the back of the reuse.
Two types of applicators have been developed for various types of products: brushes for skin care and make-up products, the ends of the cold metal effect for the application type massage.Today, said Cosmogen, “Stick reuse is more than just a prototype, production molds have been produced and industrialization is near.”
Kabuki brushes for solid skin care
Also with the aim of increasing the experience of applying solid cosmetics, Cosmogen has developed a variety of small brushes with wide grip. This new Kabuki brush allows simple, hygienic, and sensory cosmetic applications: a person must only wet the tasks and rub it on the product before the application.
